FYI, to enable the new parser Parrot,  -Dgroovy.antlr4=true  is required for
2.6.x releases.

Cheers,
Daniel.Sun

If you are using groovy console and want to enable the new parser Parrot,
just set the environment variable JAVA_OPTS=-Dgroovy.antlr4=true

P.S. setting environment variable GROOVY_OPTS=-Dgroovy.antlr4=true does NOT
work.

Cheers,
Daniel.Sun

Verified checksums and signatures.
Ran various tasks from the source zip including test, installGroovy and dist.
Docs look okay.

Nice work Daniel!

Cheers, Paul.

Building from sources (with gradlew dist) seemed to run longer than usual on my machine (~20 minutes).
Ran some basic tests with the groovy console, and it worked fine.

Hi Guillaume,

Friendly error message for missing ']' was added recently, it impacts
the performance somehow.

- Signature is ok
- Checksum is ok (although the file is formatted so that it prevent automatic
validation via -c option)
- RAT is ok

Perhaps a note on the requirement for Gradle 3.5.1 needs to be added to the
release notes? 'cause the build is failing with the latest version as well as
with an old 2.10+ ones.

Thank you!
